Biotechnology and Food Chemistry Course Program

In this course program students will learn how to solve issues in materials and food industry with the Okhotsk region as a model by using chemistry-based biotechnology and food engineering. Students will develop the ability to be active as engineers with humanity and social skills.

Microorganisms are involved in infectious diseases, matter cycles on a global scale, biotechnology industry, etc. This course offers lectures on fundamental knowledge such as physiology, genetics and metabolism of such microorganisms and utilization techniques.

This course gives an outline on food engineering in food manufacturing, food processing and food preservation etc. in the food industry and offers an introduction to basic engineering.
